There are two digital archives for the TLS.
The TLS Archive is a comprehensive text archive of TLS material – book reviews, arts reviews, poems, letters and commentary pieces – dating from 1994 to the present day. It is updated every week on the day of publication. If you are involved in research or simply want to browse, it is an indispensable resource.
Access to the archive is available with a subscription to the TLS.
To explore the TLS Archive, enter a search term in the search box above. You can search by book title, author, contributor, or keyword.
The separate TLS Historical Archive dates from 1902 to 2012, and is managed by Cengage Learning. This complete online facsimile edition of the TLS is updated annually and now features full-text searching, allowing you to explore an archive of over 300,000 reviews, letters and poems. This archive also reveals who has contributed to the paper – most contributors, many of them eminent in their respective fields, wrote anonymously for the paper, from 1902 until 1974.
The TLS Historical Archive is available to libraries and other institutions via subscription or purchase options.
TLS Digital and Complete Works subscribers can now also access the complete historical archives, by clicking here, and entering their subscriber number.
